Domaine Demeure-Pinet is located at the meeting point of three regions: the Rhône Valley to the west, the Jura to the north and Savoie to the east. It is run by Chrystele and Philipe Demeure-Pinet, who are the only local wine producers. In 1971 the domaine transitioned from a polyculture farm to a wine estate and today totals 8.5 hectares of south-facing slopes on limestone-clay soils, planted almost exclusively to the local varietal Jacquère.
Since the estate is not in any of the three regions it borders, the wines are labeled under the IGP Vin des Allobroges. Domaine Demeure-Pinet makes this 100% Jacquère in a crisp, light, easy to enjoy style. There is lots of life and acidity to the wine which gives ample freshness to the flavors of green apples, flowers and a touch of minerality. Enjoy on its own or pair with a plate of alpine cheeses.
